On this website references to “we”, “us” and “our” shall be deemed to be references to blackoutsdirect.co.uk. References to “you”, and “your” shall be deemed to be references to any person placing an order via this website. References to “website” shall be deemed to be references to this website with the address www.backoutsdirect.co.uk. References to “order” shall be deemed to be references to your order made by you, using this website, to purchase goods from us.

1) Placing YOUR order


By placing an order via this website you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, and that you are making an offer to Blackouts Direct to purchase the goods detailed in your order upon the terms described in your contract.

A contract between you and Blackouts Direct for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed and despatched to you. Your credit / debit card / PayPal account will be processed when your order is despatched. This does not affect your statutory rights.

All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change. All goods must be signed for by an adult aged 18 years or over on delivery. We cannot accept liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) if delivery takes place at any time other than the estimated date for delivery. Otherwise, if your order is damaged, please contact us within 7 days to process a claim for a replacement. Images may be requested for claim purposes, this does not affect your statutory rights. If you are missing any items from your delivery, please contact us within 7 days to process a claim for a replacement.

Delivery of goods can only be made to mainland UK and Northern Ireland addresses. We can also deliver to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland and Scottish Islands and BFPO addresses subject to us having reached an agreement with you, and processed, any additional delivery charges. For the avoidance of doubt, delivery to these locations shall always be made as part of a non-standard delivery service.

The reasons for non-acceptance of an order by Blackouts Direct may be a result of one of the following:

  1. The product you ordered being unavailable from stock; or
  2. Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment; or
  3. Non-agreement between you and us regarding additional delivery charges for non-standard delivery services; or
  4. The identification of a pricing or product description error.

2) Description of products


We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct when the relevant information was entered onto the system. However, specifications and descriptions of products on this website are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description of the products and whilst we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible the information appearing at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place your order. Furthermore, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used to view the products. Additionally, all sizes and measurements stated by us in relation to the goods are approximate only.

3) Availability of goods


Availability of goods is subject to change without notice. We endeavour to display through this website a comprehensive range. We aim to hold stock of all styles and sizes whilst a product is active. However, occasionally an item will be out of stock and if this is the case this will be highlighted in the product description page and you will be unable to order it.

4) Returns policy


Missing, damaged or faulty products:

We want you to be delighted with your purchase – please check the contents of your delivery carefully within 24 hours of receipt. If you wish to report missing, damaged, or faulty goods, please contact us as soon as possible within 7 days. We cannot accept an item returned as faulty if the appropriate product care instructions have not been followed and the damage caused to the product is clearly due to wear and tear or misuse.


Changed your mind:

If you are not entirely satisfied with the products that you have chosen you may return them to us within 30 days of receipt. We will be happy to offer you a refund provided that the products are returned complete, in perfect condition, unused, unwashed and with the original packaging.


How to return products:

If you have changed your mind, or in the unlikely event that anything is missing, damaged or faulty, please apply for a Return Authorisation Number by contacting our Customer Services Team on +44 (0) 300 303 1033.  Our Customer Services Team will also send you details of how items can be returned to us. Please ensure you have the following information to hand when calling:

  1. Your Name
  2. Email Address
  3. Billing Postal Code
  4. Daytime Phone Number
  5. Order Number – this can be found on your email confirmation or invoice
  6. Item codes & Quantities – Blackouts Direct part number & quantity of the item(s) in question
  7. Reason for Replacement Request – Please describe the fault/damage issue

5) Prices


All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication, are quoted in pounds sterling and where appropriate are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate. The price displayed on the website at the time we receive your order is the price you pay. Any price displayed on this website shall be subject to change at any time.

Whilst we endeavour to ensure that all prices on this website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your order as cancelled and payment will not be taken.

Title to any goods shall pass to you on delivery of the goods provided that we have processed and received payment in full for the goods.

6) Product Reviews


Once you’ve received your order, we’ll invite you via email to review your items on the website.


By submitting content on to Blackouts Direct, you agree that:

  • you are the owner and author of content
  • all content is accurate and not misleading
  • you are at least 18 years old

It is our intention to publish all reviews, whether they are positive or not, but we reserve the right not to publish reviews if:

  • The content is deemed to be offensive
  • The review is not representative of the product in question
  • The review is rated on delivery services
  • The usage / care instructions are not followed
  • The product is not being used for its original purpose
  • The information in the review is subject to change. For example, the price or any promotions
